I know this is s'posed to be dark humor, but I'm very encouraged. DH will be 60 in a few weeks, and would still come at least close to passing the 32 list. I think I'll have to work that into his birthday song somehow.
In fact, I think even my Dad at 85 and dying still passed most of the 42 list, and all of the 52 until the last few weeks when he couldn't move furniture any more and the pain meds had him nodding off a lot. So there's hope for decent company in our old age yet, ladies.

I would've been happy with #2 out of the (72) list. How can that be *so* hard for someone who managed the boy scout sharp-shooter badge?!

I've narrowed my list of nonnegotiable demands in the top 4 traits I want in a (wo)man to:
1) smart
2) funny
3) honest
4) brave enough to .... actually show up for the date

I agree with DOW, our mutual Dad was all of 52 and most of 42 even when over 82

Kitsune, when my male housemates got sloppy, I mentioned that the next time I had bathroom detail and the shootin' wasn't sharp, the cleanup tool would be their toothbrushes. The improvement was AMAZING!

Own or rent a stable place to live
Have a decent paying job.
Be able to buy food for us.
Have his own reliable transportation.

Yeah right if they think that is all I want though.

Hmmm. Would a good race horse be able to fill that requirements list? Lives in a stable. Earns good money (enough for oats). Not only has, but IS his own reliable transportation. Poops on the floor, tho'.

Do the boy scouts have a badge for writing one's name in the snow? That might be closer to #2. But it would require a short name or a large bladder. Of all the attempts I've seen, most petered out before the end.
