Argent Bleu Q? Since it's a LeMond (think French) Argent Bleu (Silver Blue) Q for Quint41? That way she has a full name?
Don't know how to exactly explain the french pronounciation but it sounds cool.

I've been waiting patiently ... got the call last night ... my LeMond is ready! I'll be picking it up tomorrow.
Althought I have never been one for naming inanimate objects, I feel like I'm adopting a new member of the family. Maybe I should name my new baby! Any suggestions? She's a beautiful silver and light blue bundle of joy!

Don't think of it as getting hot flashes. Think of it as your inner child playing with matches
Love it Mary!!
another option: Icarus
Treks name for their silvery-blue winged custom paint.......and since LeMond is produced by Trek you wouldn't be deviating from the LeMond brand.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
OK, two clever ladies in the crew. ABQ for short, maybe, as the full name would be quite a mouthful. Icarus sounded familiar to me, so I Googled it:
Icarus (Greek Mythology) was son of Daedalus, famous for his death by falling into the sea when he flew too close to the sun, melting the wax holding his artificial wings together.
Hmm... sounds kind of dangerous!!
By the way, Mary .... I don't call 'em hot flashes, I call 'em POWER SURGES!

BUT, even though he eventually fell into the sea, we often forget that first, Icarus flew, and he flew so boldly and so high that he saw the brilliance of the sun. I read a poem to this effect, so can't take credit for the idea--still, it's interesting, no?Originally Posted by quint41

ok - every time you called it ABQ I will think you're talking about my home town: Albuquerque or ABQ for short. LOLOriginally Posted by quint41

How about just the obvious: Silver. Remember the Lone Ranger: "Heigh-o, Silver!" (Oops, is my age showing?)

Well, I think a name has been determined ....
When I posed the question of a name to the guy who recommended me to this LBS, he instantly replied, "Freedom." I said, "I used to ride a horse named Freedom."
There you go. Freedom II. And so it shall be named!
After all, I am getting this bike just as my two DD's have entered Junior and Senior year in high school, I've been gaining personal freedom at a record pace recently and will continue to do so as they leave the nest. Which is one of the reasons I'm getting so into biking now -- I'll need something to occupy my time when they leave me!
Freedom it is!
Countdown: 4 hours and 42 minutes to the adoption!

Beautiful! May you and your Freedom have a long, happy road together.
An excellent name.My first road bike is yet to be named.
I am a bad bike mommy. I just cannot think of a name.

Jennifer--Make a new thread like Quint41 did and let us help you choose a name. That's what I'm going to do when I get my Bianchi. Include a photo along with your bike's turn-ons and turn-offs, so we can get to know her a little.Originally Posted by Bikingmomof3

Could just be an androgynous byke... like 'Desire' from Neil Gaiman's Sandman series...
I always picture european bikes (esp. the older ones) as being these pretty/handsome androgynous figures who would love nothing more than to sweep you away with their own certain elegant style and finesse...
...then there's my friend's beatup, sticker-covered fixie Iron Horse, named "Joe" who would be just as happy parked next to your couch while you eat cheetos and watch Austin Powers...
