Thumbs up Empire State AIDS Ride 2006

While I missed fellow TE rider, Maryellen on the ESAR ride this year, I did lead a team of Puget Sound Riders from the Seattle area to my birth state of New York and our team contributed almost $25,000 to the total raised so far; my fundraising total at this point is $4,150

And, just like many of you, I'm sure, have also $upported many friends in their charity ride/walk efforts this year, donating to the Breast Cancer Fund climb of Mt. Rainier, MS150 Walk-Massachusetts, MS150 ride-Washington, Race for the Cure-Denver/Komen Breast Cancer, Light the Night Walk-Seattle/Leukemia to name several.

There are truly so many worthy causes to fight; however I made a commitment years ago: to ride my bike, raising funds in support of wide-ranging efforts in the fight against HIV/AIDS. So I will continue to ride for the same reason and hope to someday ride - just for the pure joy and fun of it!
Ride on girls and tailwinds to all of us!

I'm up to 8456.00 for the Tour de Pink...the fund raising isn't over until Oct. 15, 2006. I'm shooting for $10,000.....that is a lot of mammograms!!
