Congratulations on your weight loss - that's awesome!! I've been cycling for just over 3 months now and I love it.
When I first started, I really didn't care for hills either. But, as you get stronger (cardio & physically), you will definitely see improvements in getting up those hills. Start slowly and make sure you downshift just before you head up that hill.
There are so many wonderful women here who have been riding a long while. You will learn a lot!
