YOu get bonus points for dealing with the headwind :-) You ROCK !!!
I did a metric Sunday and then made smoothies and got my pic in the paper, but alas, it's not online to broadcast to the masses! (No story, just a long caption.)
... but I didn't do a century... that's awesome ...

I found that once I did a metric century the Imperial (or whatever it is called) century was no more difficult. it just took a little longer. You'll be doing one in no time too![]()

Way to go Linda!
It was great to meet up with you guys at the beginning. DH and I only did 50 miles. He did the Connecticut River Valley Century on Saturday in 5 hours so this was his recovery ride. What a beautiful day it was. We decided to make it a leisurely ride. The rest stops were great though we didn't spend much time at them. Its amazing how good a PB&J tastes after a few hours of riding. The ride down by the beaches was nice but the wind did start to pick up. I wouldn't exactly call it flat, more like gently rolling. What a great ride though and well supported. Glad you had a great ride.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
