Good job, Heather! So happy to hear that you also had no cyst pain.

Amazing, Heather! I am so happy for you. Great work. I'm so impressed that you got out and did it today, despite the weather.
Last year I ran the 1/2 marathon in a cool drizzle. It really was perfect weather, but I needed a complete change of clothes, including shoes and socks. I got seriously chilled at breakfast at Ann Sather's afterward.
Today I ran at the Y, on the treadmill. 5 miles. It is so much easier to run on the treadmill. I wonder why? I only use it when it's toooo rainy, hot, or frigid to be outside. I figure, we don't race on a treadmill, why train on one?![]()
Looks like the weather's going to be gorgeous the end of this week. You rest up, warm up, and bask in your 18 miles.![]()

The HM I did in May was during a rainy day also. Most of the time was drizzle, which was great albeit wet just like you describe, but for a while it was pouring. Squish, squish, squish. It was one of the first times I wore my tri-suit to see how it felt to actually do an event in it, and boy was it like taking off a wet bathing suitOriginally Posted by Lise
I think most treadmills have cushy surfaces to make it easier on your joints, which probably makes it "feel" easier to run also. Plus, it's all flatOriginally Posted by Lise
