    You rock, FBG!!

I can't believe it! I saw that contest on the Trek website not long ago and thought how cool it would be to design a bike, but the contest had just ended so I was too late. I am SO psyched for you. And that is one sweet design, I must say! I see a new career possibility for you ...

Wow, is that beautiful. Congratulations. If I ever see one on the street, I'll tell the owner I know the designer!

(Trying to imagine how I could justify owning a third bike "because it's so pretty"... )

Lise "What do the Japanese characters say in English?"

I think it says "your bike sucks" like on the chainguard on Biachi Muss (as if I needed a reason to get another bike).

Sweet! Beautiful design--you deserve the win. Now we want to hear all about your build-up of the bike once the frame arrives, then photos, of course!!! Cool beans!

    Chinese Translation

    It means "Passion".

I found out something interesting about Chinese characters because I was going for the Japanese/ cherry or pear blossom theme. The Japanese did not have a written language so Japanese characters are basically the same as you will find in Chinese. I never knew that.

Also, for you budding designers: Trek does this every year, so there's always next year...

One thing Derek said was very important was that the design needed to be easy to reproduce in production and I met that criteria. When I did the design I thought about when I used to airbrush and how I would go about masking and such. I guess that extra consideration helped.

    Sweeeeeet!!!
    Very nicely done!
    Understated, not over-the-top.
    Feminine, but not cloying.

That's so cool, congratulations! Your design is awesome, I like the different color combination choices. It's really subtle, and feminine without being too girly (even in pink!).
