I won't ever get a real tatoo because I hate needles and I know there will be a time in my life where it just isn't so cool anymore. However, with that said, I have thought if I was to ever get a tatoo, it would be a bike chain around my ankle. Basically, what I'm saying is yeah to your idea! I would so get a temporary chain tatoo. I vote for one that looks like a tatoo, not a picture of an actual chain.

My friends and I were looking for bike related temp tatoos for LRRH (they were not to be found ). This would have been (and still would be) perfect! I vote for the real-look tatoo, too.

I was really leaning for the real look too. I have searched and searched for a great looking bike chain tattoo and have never found it. So I am going to make it myself!! I hope.

I would love to get a real tattoo but it is NEVER going to happen. I am way too afraid of the pain/infection/scar...plus way way too afraid of the commitment. So temporary it is. I'll let everyone know when they have arrived.

Hey Doc, selling your bike here was a GOOD thing - and I'm very grateful!!

I can now ride without the hand swelling - yeah! And I would be very interested in the tatoos as well. Great stocking stuffers (so what if I stuff my own stocking - I'm never disappointed!).

Actually I got one that was a glittery gear stack with LRRH in the middle as a temp tatoo the evening before at the dinner. Maybe they sold out-

On the first cross country I did, one of the ladies had a whole book of tear out bike related temporary tatoos that she periodically passed around. She couldn't or wouldn't remember where she got it, but I could see a whole business there.

I would buy a bunch of temporary tatoos bike chains anytime just to stuff my stocking, and to have on hand for fun times.

I would wear a temporary bike chain tattoo around my neck as a chocker and maybe have the tail end look like it was falling down into my cleavage! This is Portland after all and I already stand out among the youth oriented bike crowd due to lack of piercings and tattoos (also no beard.....that's an observation- lots of facial hair with the bike crowd).

I get one almost every time I ride, too. But I've been riding for 6 years, so it's not a novice thing- it's a right foot clipping out thing. Most people I know unclip with their left foot down- I put my right foot down (since I'm left side dominant) so it's on the drivetrain side and therefore more apt to get tattooed.

I would LOVE to get a chainring tattoo (permanent- not just temporary).
