Real name: Sally
Where do you live? Poole, Dorset, UK
Explanation of your handle: After my bike...........Orange Clockwork
Explanation of your avatar: Wobbly butt, like mine!
Age (general or specific) 56..........ouch!
Occupation: P/T Administrator and P/T Relief Project Worker one evening per week
Favourite bike: Only bike I have owned as an adult.......and I love it.
What's in your stable? Orange Clockwork - Limited Edition
Fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? Don't have a road bike but on my mountain bike on a road, the fastest speed I have got up to was about 31 mph.
Another picture of yourself or your ride? Pass on that one.
What is the biggest lie you've ever told: I don't lie much, or was that a lie?
Most memorable moment on my bike: My first 1000 miles, although it took a year.
Most fun ever had on a bike? Went to a small town called Weymouth in the south of England, traffic was so heavy so.......had no alternative but to dart in and out all over the place to get where we wanted, think some of the car drivers got annoyed.

Ocul: I just got a Trek 1000 WSD.........sweet bike. Course it wasn't fast enough for me so she's back at my LBS right now having different gearing put on. and I was in Stitches reading about your hubby trying to sweet talk a cow - that had to have been something to see!
Clock: ok....My first thought when I saw you name was the movie and I must say it intrigued me to figure out why you picked Clockwork Orange for an ID.....now I'm intrigued by your bike!! Never heard of it....know nothing about it and would LOVE to see a pix of it!!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
OK...........the following gives a bit of background about the make of my bike, also a pic of my bike which just happens to be the best (to me)! Singing in the Rain, not sure about the association BUT, I really love to ride in the rain, strange but true.Kali

Orange Mountain Bikes history begins with the Tushingham B52, which was one of the UK's first mountain bikes. It was created as a specialty product by Cumbria in the Lake District and as an offshoot from Tushingham Sails, a leading manufacturer of quality windsurfing sails.
Later, Lester Noble, a partner in Tushingham Sails, fell in love with mountain biking and left Tushingham Sails. He partnerned with Steve Wade, a bike racer with an engineering background, and formed Orange Mountain Bikes.
Handbuilt in Halifax, England, these bikes are ALL English.
Well you did ask ...........hope you are still awake?
Hmmmmmm, 'never heard of it, know nothing about it'...............now that really is uncool.CorsairMac

Compared with most of you guys on here, my bike is probably a heap of crap but I really do love my bike. Had it 6 years and almost done 6000 miles. Am not super fit, cannot run up and down stairs, let alone mountains.
However, I love being out on my bike, either alone or with my partner, I do ride all the year round.
I know I have said it before but this site is great, am real pleased I found it, so far, everybody seems real friendly.

If you're ever in the mood for a fairly disturbing, yet thought-provoking, movie, see if you can find a copy of "A Clockwork Orange". There's a scene that explains the song connection. Now, of course, the question is: Since you love to ride in the rain, do you sing when you do so?Originally Posted by ClockworkOrange

Ahem, my memory is bad enough these days, however, I did see the film when it was released 35 years ago but must confess to not remembering too much of it.
Fortunately for the wild life around me when I am riding in the rain, I do not sing, just generally have a stupid smile on my face. I guess I enjoy riding in the rain, as there are far fewer people about.
