So sorry for the loss of your mom. I hope we can help you feel a bit better by our caring.

Maybe some little kid took the glove because they saw you and wanted to emulate you.

Grab some fenders, bright gore-tex, and bright lights because riding in the rain can be a gas. Get a nice cover for the Brooks too.

{{{Lisa}}}, so sorry to hear about your mother. The nuisance thievery really sucks too. May your package from TE arrive along with some more perfect bike riding weather.

Well that just sucks. I'm so sorry about your mom. And what sicko steals one glove, and one already-worn glove at that? I'm glad you had the wherewithal to resort to a little "retail therapy." Now, for some cool weather so you can enjoy your new stuff.

    Lisa,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I lost my dad last fall, and it still hurts a lot, though the tears don't come so often any more. I just miss him terribly as I know you will miss your mom. The loss of a parent is the toughest thing I've ever had to face, and I wasn't even able to ride for months and months afterwards. I am glad you're not in that boat.

The glove-stealing sucks too -- how ridiculous and petty can someone be?

My condolences on the loss of your mother. We are never ready for these events and they are difficult passages. Of having that well used and reliable pair of gloves broken up is yet another loss, and all the more poignant in the time of your bereavement. My sympathies are extended to you and your family and friends.

You women are the absolute BEST. Thank you all so much for your sweet words, they lift my spirits, and now I am not so upset about the stupid glove anymore either. (at least they didn't take my $50 helmet with it)

My mother was in a long decline of several years, and that gave me time to spend with her and say loving things to her many times- that's the good part.
I feel good about how I managed to help her through these last few years.

Now that she is gone and at peace, I feel blessed to have my health, my loving partner, and the ability to do the things in my life that make life joyful! Most people are not so lucky in this world, by far.
Let's all keep encouraging others to see how wonderful it is to ride a bike and to get healthy!

Thank you all again for your messages.

I so much look forward to riding in the brisk upcoming "Autumn" and I'll report in the "Apparel" section on the yummy TE cold weather clothing I get.

I'm sorry about your mom. I know how you feel about having something stolen! My son, a freshman at college, had his bike stolen the first day of school!!! I am still so mad I can't see straight!!!!!
