Beta...you're not getting old.... I'm sure as you mentioned, it's probably just from sleeping funny...

Are you off to work dear? How long is your commute? How are the squirrels??? I'd send you cool things to hear in the morning like a kookabura but not sure how to catch one...

I feel so lonely when i come here at night...you ladies are asleep...

    Oh...excitement...spring is closer...it's light at 530pm!!!!! It's getting a bit warmer...it was 20+ today...cool...

NOt so cool is the thought of commuting home in 30c...(new post idea for the commuting section)

I had a freaky moment today with a rather large crow sitting on a bike ramp railing I was walking up on my way to work..He was cawwwing right beside me & we both looked at eachother and caught eyes...weird....I think you had to be there...

I'm off to bed, good night ladies and have a great day.

Thanks I'm not commuting today. I have odd hours since I'm in grad school. My commute is 10 miles each way, takes me about 40 minutes or so depending on the timing of the lights. The squirrels are good. There's one that likes to eat from my bird feeder and runs down the fence toward our back gate when I come in from my ride home. Scares the sh*t out of me.

I went to Australia when I was in 8th grade (1989). I remember the sounds of the kookabura. I'm currently watching my cat get all worked up about some sparrow's on the neighbor's roof. The houses here are pretty close together, so he's totally freaking out. Wonder what he'd do if a kookabura was out there.

It's unofficial! I got the job! I will get official notification in the next week or so which will come from the personnel office (gov't stuff). I talked with my future boss today. Wahoo! Yippee! We will celebrate in SF!
I missed this! Congratulations! I'm so happy for you! Bees - we sure do have a love/hate relationship with them, don't we? Keep those little pollinators chugging along for us, OK?

Well, I have to change the offer I made of my first born son a few pages back.
He now has a job (parttime) with the Tacoma Symphony as 3rd horn (that's his favorite part, the bass) so he is no longer unemployed. So perhaps he is now a better catch? please send detailed resumes to me.. hey, he's even thinking of buying a car!!

Congrats fishddr on the job, please NO MORE KILLER BEES. I think you guys just have to teach the italian honeybees how to wash better..

and Kitsune, good luck on the job interview. I hope the interviewer is younger than me because most people my age get their eyes crossed when we see piercings (and we can see those "flesh colored inserts" in the ears.)
Fact of the matter is, unless they are an idiot, your resume and presence should speak for itself.

Beta, about that back, you need to get back to your CORE exercises; but hopefully a good night will fix it. The same has happened to me.

Today was the first wet-ish commute we've had.
It is so strange hearing from our crazycanuck about the days getting lighter, while today I was spooked because it was so dark when i was getting ready to leave the house for work. I have a great light on my forehead (on my helmet) but the darn thing isn't strong enough to show me the small stones
on the road and other hidden hazards.

    Attention

There's a post up in Open, called We Need Your Help, about somebody's kid that wants to win a contest for receiving the most postcards. If you're interested in helping.
