I need to know if any of you are using a dipilatory for your bikini line that works? I have used a couple in the past on my legs and what a joke. It's been years since I tried one tho... are there any decent products on the market now?

I had my second surgery yesterday to remove a sebacious cyst along the bikini line. Most likely started off as an ingrown hair... shaving and cycling don't mix well for me.

Thanks for any suggestions. My goal now it to be able to look good in lingerie and swimsuits yet still be able to ride without problems...

Have you ever thought about going to get it waxed? I have sensitive skin so I really can't imagine putting a cream to chemically dissolve the hair, I'm pretty sure I would get irritation. Waxing has worked out well. It's a tad painful, but it's just a quick pain.

Hey, sorry to hear that they didnt remove it first time Mine seems to start dissapearing on it's own, but once I ride it puffs up, but it is much smaller now/
I used to use Sally Hansen creams but I think they are too messy and stink. I suggest waxing followed by tend skin solution. Dont wax there on your own though, at least I tried and don't do it anymore!!! Good luck

i'm not sure of any dipilatories that work, but i've gotten a full brazilian wax done. it was nice, ok so not the procedure, but not having to shave.

if you go this route find a good person to do it (i had a friend that i worked with in the salon do it, she had been doing them for years and it went good.) take some ibuprofen before you get it done. helps with the pain. bring a small thing of baby powder with you or ask for some. helps with any left over residue of wax that may be on your skin still so it doesn't stick to your underwear or leg.

if you do it yourself make sure you have good wax. tried doing it one time with not such a good wax.... and i think i picked wax off for a few days afterwards.

if anyone knows of a good dipilatory that works, i would be interested in that too.

Hmmm, I've done waxing in that area too - actually done it myself. There are these strips they sell, prewaxed, which you just peel off and apply. It isn't a large area we are talking about so I can manage.

I've also had it done at a salon which was easier and better, but I do it myself now. I still do my legs at a salon - I hate having to shave!

I've tried and tried creams but I always, no matter the brand, get rashes, redness, and burning.

Last couple of times I've gone swimming I just wore some comfy spandex black shorts and a black tank top. I think it looked great, and I didn't have to worry about any "bikini lines"...human fur and fuzz is normal. My wonderful DH likes to say I have a degree from Tufts University, and we just laugh!....life is good, biking is good....

I tried Nair Bikini Line in the pink bottle. I got it too close and it felt like I'd sat in a pile of hot coals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So be careful if you go that route...

The poster swears this story is not true, but was a practical joke played on her by someone posting in her name, but its a really really funny story of what not to do if you try bikini wax....

Indeed this is one of those wince/laugh kind of stories that you hope never really happened to someone. The person who wrote it is a very good comedic story teller.

I have PCOS and tend towards the very hairy side because of abnormal hormone levels. Somebody reccomended a product called Magic - a depilatory made specifically for black men, who can have terrible problems with ingrown hairs. I trusted my source (a coworker who is outrageously out if you know what I mean) and after he claimed that it gave him "the smoothest balls he's ever had since he was seven years old".... I gave it a try.

The stuff stinks, but given that it's designed for coarse hair on the face and neck, it worked really well.
