Devils Head is a tough course (and a fun course too). It's a downhill skil resort. It's the only WORS race where they actually have a downhill competition. It is also very technical. Logs piles, rock gardens, bridges, fast downhill sections.

The two hour clinic can be whatever we make it, but it is our intention to introduce beginners to WORS XC racing. I figure we will take people on a pre ride of the course (which might take 45 minutes to 1 hour). We can talk about the rules of WORS racing, how to correctly pass and be passed. We can look at difficult sections of the course and help find the "easiest" or the most "efficient" line. And we could even talk a little about cornering, climbing and descending. I feel like I can explain it very well now....since I attended a mini skills camp with Alison Dunlop (one of the best mountain bike racers in the world). She had great explainations of every skill we practiced as well as reasons why we do it that way.

If you weren't sure, you could just preride the course on Saturday and if it was too much then don't sign up to race. Just consider it a fun day of mountain bike riding. I think a pass costs $7. Plus there will be plenty of events to watch on Saturday and Sunday.
