Heh....ok, so maybe the title isn't exactly correct but....

I was getting ready to give you a hard time about wanting a vehicle with absolutely abysmal mpg - but then I clicked to discover your wonderful sense of humor.

    That's priceless!

I'm glad you guys enjoyed it. I thought it was pretty cool. They have another video of actually driving or should I say, riding, up to a wendy's and ordering a few smoothies. Kind of funny.

And nope, I'd never buy a Hummer - egads!

That is wonderful. I am glad I opened the thread--I wasn't even going to look lest anyone said anything positive about a Hummer! Whew! What a relief! Those things are beasts & they take up so much road. Now a green Hummer on the other hand...

That was great, I love it. LOL

Of course I don't have a problem with the real thing either if someone wants to waste their money and get eaten alive by the gas prices they will pay.

Oh, in Phoenix, AZ women use Hummers to go grocery shopping.
These women look at me on my bike is I am an idiot.
I guess I should consider one of those cute velo Hummers as well.

I think it would be a blast to ride/drive around in the green hummer. Maybe, maybe, for the truly cheeky amongst us, (count me in!!!) - pull up to a gas station where there is a conventional, gas-guzzling hummer, and say, oh laugh about gas prices and fill up the tires, then go on our merry way~!

    Some tidbits...

    Fact Sheet

    Green Hummer H2
    Length 15 feet, 9 inches 15 feet, 9 inches
    Width 7 feet, 0 inches 7 feet, 0 inches
    Height 6 feet, 5 inches 6 feet, 5 inches
Weight (Curb) 200 pounds 6,400 pounds
Weight (Loaded) 950 pounds 8,600 pounds
    Load/Weight Ratio* 3.75 : 1 1 : 3.44
Gas Mileage N/A Approx. 9 miles per gallon
    Fuel Capacity N/A 32 gallons
Cost $200 in supplies $49,180 MSRP
    Brakes Standard hand brakes,
plus parking brake 4 channel, 4-wheel anti-lock braking system (ABS)
    Seating
Capacity Seats 2 drivers, plus a maximum of three passengers Seats 6
Sound System $19 Portable CD player. Includes FM and AM radio receiver. In-dash CD/cassette deck with nine Bose® speakers. (6-disc CD changer option available)
    Speeds 5 4
Top Speed 14.8 mph (details) 99 mph (throttled),
    110 mph (max)

Note: Load/Weight ratio is the ratio between a vehicle's cargo capacity and its weight. The Green Hummer can carry nearly four times its own weight, while the H2 can only carry 34% of its own weight.

Oh no. If you are looking for a small car buy a MINI Cooper. It is much more fun and is much better built than a VW, any VW.
But that Hummer is a blast. I shared it with my DH and he is already inviting our friends for a ride.

When I saw this thread yesterday, I thought to myself, "there's got to be some joke tied up with this one......", but I didn't open it up, until just now...

    What a happy surprise !!

One of those "green Hummer's" would look wonderful put in a dealership lot

    Have a green day!

I'd been reluctant to view this thread too... what a surprise. Thom drove a real hummer all over the desert in the first Gulf War. Said they were a blast to drive... in the desert where they belong, without the leather seats, air conditioning, CD player and DVD for the kids...his did have some sort of weapon attached to it.

I can see that version as a SAG vehicle, coming up behind the idiot in the pick up truck who's giving you a hard time about riding on the road...

OMG - I'll probably need those of you who actually read this to vouch for me. Else I might get a dodgy reputation for wanting a "hummer".
