To answer your question, the answer isn't going to help much.
People are screaming at us because they are suffering from personal misery
caused by traffic jams, mother in laws, politics, their jobs; you name it.
And it gets translated into road rage. You know that half of them are ready to
pop off at any minute..
why they call us the B word, maybe you're right;it was because the jerk was perceptive enough to see that you were a woman...
The city of Seattle had a questionnaire aimed at bike riders. one of the questions was where should they focus (improving roads, bike trails, etc, etc)
one of the choices was step up enforcement on motor vehicles. That's what i chose. As long as popular conceptions of bikes as being nuisances persists, the only way we're going to get these boys (let's face it, most of these harrassing drivers are men... incidents with women are more carelessness and stupidity)
to behave themselves.
so call the police.
call the mayor's office.
support your local bike club.
and if you know who owns the car, call the company!!!
