Yep Canberra sure is chilly in Winter but I think Northern California will have toughened me up a bit (I try to keep riding thru winter here even when it snows).
Good to know I have someone in Canberra to get all the good riding info from. I hope we can get together for a ride when I get to the ACT.
Thanks again
Leslie

Your biggest challenge isn't someone else.
It's the ache in your lungs and the burning in your legs and the voice inside that yells "CAN'T".
But you don't listen. You just push harder.
And then you hear the voice whisper "CAN".
And you discover that the person you thought you were is no match for the one you really are.

it sounds really funny now seeing it here.. just an aussie way of talking!
Did you bring your pedals and have the rental joint put them on for you? My hubby and I brought our bikes out on our trip to British Columbia earlier this summer, but between the bike box rental, the flight charge, and 2 days of "delayed" baggage (1 day each side), not to mention the dent my poor Pilot had to suffer (it's cosmetic but still, I was bummed ya know), I can't help but think renting would have been easier and probably cheaper. The problem is how do you find places that rent good quality bikes?Originally Posted by Tiffanie
