Soreness is a sign that your muscles have been worked hard and (somebody correct me here if I'm wrong) that the muscles have micro-tears. The only way to rebuild and recover is rest. If they are sore after every class, the exercise is very intense and that is exactly what you don't want to do the week before. Light exercise to stay loose if fine but intense to the point of soreness is not.

Rest and recovery is equally as important as the exercise.
