The shifter find my hands far better, the seat offered at least some support (if minor), and I wasn't totally stretched out to reach the bars.
Cinnamon, just to second what Cassandra said--my neighbor is 6 feet tall, and she still finds a woman-specific bike more comfortable than a "manbike."
