Can you usually feel when you are ovulating? I know, TMI. Just a thought. It is not plesant, at least not for me. BUT if this is something new, please error on the side of caution and see a doctor or at least talk with your doctor's nurse.

Could it be one of the suspension ligaments for your bladder?
Always best to check with the doc. At least call the office and ask to speak to a nurse. (that's free!)
Edit: oops! I think that word was s'posed to be "suspensory" or maybe "suspenders"... geez, I'm in suspense, which word is it?

That's really interesting...
After my 40mi ride (not a lot for a lot of ladies, but about 2x what I usually do) I was a little sore, and after some 'encouragement' (okay, not that much)There was 'naughtiness' and my gf freaked that I was 'spotting' about a week before I was supposed to get my period. I ended up not bleeding for 3 days after that, then having horrific cramps the first and second days of my period. (Sorry if TMI, but such is the nature of this thread I suppose... )
I'm wondering if all the strenuous activity had anything to do with the earlyish bleeding and then cramping?
hmm...
I just don't know, since we are all so different! But I DO know that strenuous activity, of the biking kind, at least, tends to inhibit my bleeding and cramping, not increase it. I flow much lighter during the summer months of increased activity. As for sexual activity, doesn't seem to make much difference, strenuous or otherwise, as to bleeding, etc. Biking lasts for a longer duration (at least for me!) so probably has much more of an effect on the functions of my aging body. Hmmm... this is interesting, because I thought I was just being weird ... or maybe had been too vigorousthe night before...
But I have felt this discomfort and because it is kind of ambigous I have assumed it is something to do with my "bits"... my uterus, or my cervix...
It seems to go away within about 24 hours...
I don't notice anything particulalry to do with ovulating though...
Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
"I will try again tomorrow".
I used to get exercise-induced cramping when (1) I used to run and (2) I hadn't been through menopause yet. I mean I would be in so much pain I'd be doubled over, and it would generally happen when I was at least 15-20 minutes into my run. My doc at the time couldn't find anything wrong but said that some women's bodies produce extra amounts of some hormones while exercising. (This was maybe 10 years ago, so there may be more research/greater understanding of the phenomenon by now.)
Anyway, she suggested that I take an OTC painkiller before running, since she couldn't find anything wrong. That pretty much solved the problem. Since I stopped running and started biking, I've never had that problem again. But I've also meno-paused since then so that may have something to do with it, too.
I'd talk it over with my doc if I were you.
