The most effective way to do it, is to do it.

Welcome!! I to am a new rider trying to change my health habits and lose weight. I rode many years ago after I had my son, but got out of it due to work, family, yada, yada, yada, and not time to ever really go.
I am now back into it and this forum has helped me already tremendously to keep myself motivated and inspired.
I too live in TX, maybe some day we will meet on an organized ride.![]()
They did not have a WSD, and of course as soon as I tried the carbon, I was like...WOW....I was looking for a 1500 WSD (not carbon), but they didn't have one in my size. I tried about 10 different bikes (it took all day) and the Trek 5000 was a great fit. And since it was the 2005 I got a really good price. I'm 47 years old, I think I have worked hard enough to deserve a little bit of comfortI added a JETT women's saddle, and that made a HUGE difference.
Hope to see any of you at a organized event!
LOL - mine is a manbike too. Hope you have many great riding adventures together.![]()
