    Seattle ride planning

I just joined the forum and would love to join some local folks for a TE Seattle event. September 3 and 16 are my first available dates and they seem to match some others'. Right now it looks like October 15 and 22 would work, also.

So now all we need is a time and a meeting place? I personally would vote
for 9am at Gasworks park; but I am only 1 voice here.

My sorry little buns won't make it from Gasworks to the Red Hook brewery... and there must be beer!

Hey, I could make it from Gasworks to Hales Ales Brewpub! (that's what, 1 mile? 2 miles? hee hee )

Ugh - I only have one commitment so far in September and it's on the 16th! That's too bad. Hopefully I will be able to catch you all on the next outing.

Knotted, i don't drink alcoholic beverages so i have no idea where any breweries are except pyramid, which is near my office.

So pick a place, and pick a start place and time; you're sort of the ride leader anyway.

    Seattle ride planning

September 16 at 9am works. I'll meet wherever everyone else concurs. Since I live on the Eastside, Marymoor or Bothell are convenient starting points, but I'm sure willing to drive and then ride.

I gotta confer with Salsa, cuz she knows how to get to the wineries/brewery/food.

I'm thinking Bothell (long ride) at 9:00, hook up with shorter ride (at Marymoor) around 10:30 and ride to lunch together.

I'm SLOW. And I do mean SLOW.

Salsa, how far is it from Marymoor to food?

(did I mention I'm lazy, too?)

by Bothell do you mean start near the mall with the bookshop? (third place books?) a lot of us will have to drive to there.

You're not that slow! I think we're going to be a good group.

and there's a Subway shop right IN Marymoor park, I ate there 2 weeks ago.

It's not far at all from Marymoor to Red Hook Brewery---6-7 miles. Any meeting place at all on the BG/Samm River trail will work for me, so if people have strong preferences, state them strongly, OK? Maybe the easiest way to do it is "It's REALLY inconvenient for me to go to..." wherever. And we'll meet at the place that works best for most people. It's about 13.5 miles from Logboom Park in Kenmore to Marymoor, fyi---not far at all.
