Do you have stuff on your bed, that's just there for decoration, you know fancy pillows, stuffed animals, that sort of thing?
I use to collect stuffed animals when I was younger. I currently have 5 stuffed animals that live on my bed. The animals are:
The first teddy bear I got as a kid that was not a hand me down. His name is Fonzi. A bear Thom bought for me when we were in high school and he went to France. His name is Thom, pronounced with a French accent. A bear and a bunny that are a set, other than being different animals, that Thom got on a trip to Washington. Their names are Bear and Bunny. A rabbit, with no name, that his parents gave us to celebrate our first Easter in the house.
Then I have 4 hand made pillows. Two that my third grade teacher, next door neighbor, kind of responsible for making me who I am in a good way, made. One that my aunt made and one that my high school Latin teacher made.
Somehow all this stuff ended up on the wrong side of the bed one morning and Thom stacked it all neatly under his side table. It just kind of cracked me up that he refused to put it all back on the bed. He 'd much rather it all went away.

The only "decorations" we have on the bed are the real Border Terrier and Border Collie who reluctantly allow us to have approx 6 inches of the queen size bed to sleep.
i use to put my tigger on the bed before i moved up here.
now on our head board is the bear and wolf animals ron got me while he was in town. and the moose i got him on one of my work trips.

Um, yeah I have to admit some space is dedicated to the two dachshunds. The short-hair has to have his own pile of blankets. One is a leopard design, though. I'm less froo-froo than my GF, so I would be the one putting stuff out of sight. So I say - hold your ground and put them back on the bed! What are spouses for except to mildly drive each other crazy...
I have a couple of things I'd LIKE to put on my bed but I don't know where to put them when I take them off at night. Our dogs sleep in our room and they like to chew on stuffies that might be laying around, and of course, there's dog hair all over the place so I don't like putting extra pillows on the floor...
My cat sleeps with us. Actually she takes up a 1/3 of the bed. For something so tiny she certainly can stretch herself out when sleeping. Otherwise nothing is on the bed except an old Amish Quilt and an afghan my grandmother knit for me decades ago.

We just have two pillows each and two very lazy miniature schnauzers. The dogs insist on so much room we had to upsize our bed to a king! Actually it was planned since we got married because DH is 6'2" and a I am bed hog, but blaming the dogs is more fun!
I keep a couple stuffed animals on top of my dresser, they are all very sentimental to me. A stuffed pig DH bought me for our first dating anniversary, my college Mascot from my late Pawpaw, an elephant my college roommate gave me, a Rottweiler DH got me, an Eeyore from Animal Kingdom and another Teddy Bear from DH. Plus a stuffed dog lives on the floor, I got him before DH would let me get a real dog.

Nothing on the bed except the two cats, when they feel like it. My teddy bear, "T-bear", sits on the dresser. There's a picture of me at about one month old, face down in my crib, with T-bear sitting on my back. I have a feeling this one was posed. Now, of course, we'd call that picture of me in the crib SIDS waiting to happen!but since I survived it, I call it really cute. T-bear was all fluffy and had a bow and everything. Now she's mostly bald and scrawny. I have taken her with me all over the world, and still take her to the window to show her the first snow fall every winter. T-bear has a little rattle in one of her feet. That's how she talks. She's very wise.

This makes me so sentimental. We called my Texan grandfather Paw-paw. No one uses the term here in Kahleefohnia. Sigh . . . . .Originally Posted by Aggie_Ama

Okay, so I've gone a little too far but my bed is covered with stuffed animals. They all have names, and all have "personalities" - the collectible Grimace from McDonalds likes french fries, the ancient teddy bear likes to go on adventures, the little otter is a spy (and he usually goes in my pack when we go hiking and gets photographed at the summit), the snowman wants us to move further north, and so on.
Yes, I'm an adult. Yes, I'm married. Yes, my husband has actually picked out and even named many of them. Yes, I know I need therapy.![]()
We *have* a stuffed foxy who I cuddle with sometimes, but she 'guards' the bed alcove, mostly... GF is an "active sleeper" and will simultaneously steal blankets/remove anything 'in her way' in her sleep... or wrap me up in blankets and hold me down if I'm tossing/turning too much... so our sheets have to be well-tucked and one pillow each. Every time the well-made bed is turned into a disaster area, I look at her (or vice versa) and say "This is why you can't have nice things!"Though... I think she gets to say it to me more.
