Margo, please do tell us more about your crops. I would LOVE to see pictures, too! I couldn't put in a garden this year and the plums came in and fell off the tree without me even noticing.

You said in another thread that your son is due to start his reserve duty soon. My eldest son (24 in 2 weeks) is in the reserves here, and he got back from 18 months in Iraq in December. It was very, very hard for me, and I am very grateful that he came back, because so many do not, or come back disabled.

Somehow it must be different for you. I try to imagine what it would be like to have rockets being launched into my town. Certainly, that would be a catalyst for much action on my part (all I could do, I would do). But the US Army sending my son to Iraq--that was a call for me to increase my efforts towards peace of all kinds. I appreciate your perspective towards peace that always comes through in your posts, even though your son is going,a nd even though your country is under attack.

For all us mothers everywhere, as you say, shalom, salaam, peace, pax,

    Karen

Margo, best wishes to you, your family and all those families who must suffer through this. Thank you for being our "TE contact" in the area. It does bring it close to home for those of us who are limited to media accounts.

    Stay safe!!

    Hi Margo:

I keep you and everyone in your region in my thoughts & prayers. Thank you for your posts, Margo -- when I watch CNN & other channels & see all of this violence, it makes me so sad.

In yesterday's local paper out here, (metro-west Massachusetts), headlines were, "David Lelchook, 52, dies in Hezbollah rocket attack while riding his bicycle."

Here's a link for the article:

    Margo,

Please keep posting, you know how we worry

I have a co-worker who just returned from active duty in Iraq. He is in the reserves, sent over for a year which stretched into a year and a half. And he said they still could call him back up.

We must all continue to pray ... and work for Peace. And don't forget to vote. I'm not saying how, or what or what or who to vote for, and not trying to politicize TE, but we have less than 100 days till mid term elections here and now more than ever the direction we take impacts the world. Just vote early and often, it's important.

Tomorow is Hiroshima day, let's all hope for Peace.
