I've seen many a piece of advice on waxing that suggests the few days right before and after one's period is a bad time to wax. Extra sensitive to pain. So, maybe to avoid unecessary discomfort, schedule your salon visit accordingly.

I personally, have never had everything waxed off... so, I'd give yourself about 3 or 4 days after waxing before going on any long rides.
