Right now, I'm thinking the castellis and I'll throw a pair of Sugois in my banana bag. Or maybe vice versa.

My wonderful LGs are now too big and gave me chafing last Wed. Who'd have thought a few lost pounds could make such a difference.

Well, it sounds like you have some good options even though the LGs aren't working. I'd start with the castellis....

I hate being between sizes!! Do the smaller ones have any potential that they might fit or are you just returning them? That is a huge bummer!!

Well, in heat like that, 35 miles is a lot!! Anything's a lot to me right now...

They just don't feel right when they're on. The pad doesn't hit me the same and the grippers feel really tight. So, I'm going to return them.

Yeah... the Castellis have become my preferred lately.

I usually get TE stuff by Priority mail in two days, and I am about as far from them as I can get- but I HAD TO have this top for my brevet Saturday, or I would die, so I had to go with Fed Ex to be sure.

I would have ordered it yesterday, I was almost weak enough, but then couldn't remember the size (too bad TE doesn't have order history on their site- that is so useful!) so today I knew it couldn't wait till I got home or tomorrow, so I called and she looked up the size of the black one for me.

I've gotta get the Vitesse back on my bike- the Flow just isn't cutting it for me, but isn't horrible enough to take off, either, until I do the 200k. Still wanting to try the Zero X.

V, I can't believe a few pounds is enough to cause chafing, yet the smaller size doesn't fit. Are you keeping the LGs in "hopes" you grow back into them?? Geez, how heartbreaking. Yeah, thanks for showing me that, BTW. Now I have to have gray, too. I !!!!!LOVE!!!! that top.

Chick, I meant to say how cute I thought the pups are! They look like they could tilt their heads at just the right angle, whimper just a bit, and...you're eating out of their paws! Bwahahahaha! World Domination by the Dog! I understand.

I just got up from a two hour nap (...cue music...a threeee hour tour! a threee hour tour!) ahem. I feel so out of it. Isaac woke me up to demand food by sticking his cold nose right on my eyelid. That's effective.

Going out for a long ride in the heat isn't the smartest plan, but it was a case of carpe the diem off. I guess I could've gone to the Y and done a swim/run brick indoors. It's a beautiful day, just really, really hot. I can't believe I saw people out there running. Very little shade along the lake. Baaaad. I'll probably run a few miles tomorrow AM before work. Supposed to be much cooler Thursday.

    Great

Just got a new case from one of my favorite clients. However, opposing counsel is DH's ex-wife.

    That's always fun.... NOT!!

PS Felt like crap yesterday on the bike. I managed a whooping ten miles, just so I could have a 700 mile month. The things we do for round numbers...
There's this thing called the Aquathalon (or something like that) for older athletes who can't take the running anymore. Biking and swimming, I don't know in what combination or order. To tell you the truth, I, like SK, do not like to swim. I love to be in the water. I do not like to propel myself forward through the water using mainly my arms for nearly a mile. This winter I *will* work on upper body strength! I feel pretty strong, but swimming winds me so fast.

When I got home, the odometer read 34.97. You know I rode down the alley and back to make sure it clicked past 35! It's so wierd when I feel like crap on the bike. Happened to me last Sunday. It got better as the ride went on, and it *was* another really hot day, but man, I felt weak, slow, etc.

What are we doing tonight, Brain?

    Those DVD's are a must-have!

Lise - congrats on a good workout and wearing yourself completely out! The humidity is what gets to me. I usually ride early AM - to avoid the heat. Unfortunately, the humidity is usually at least 90% (more like 98%). Yick! It's tough to breathe when it's that humid. And sweat - wow does it make you sweat!

I'm with V on the running. I'm trying to do it. I am improving, but ever so slowly.

MP - that ought to be quite an adventure with the DH-ex. Have fun with that!

Other info MP - I made my flight reservations today - I'm heading to SF on Sept 2. Wanna get some chocolate?
