    as for falling: well yeah - sometimes the falling part is fun too.....like when you can't get unclipped and your hands are still on the flats and you just kinda tip over like a tree! LOL (of course not that I would Ever know anything about that )
    Thanks CM, I'm doing a commission right now of John Henry, who is 31 and still kicking (yes, pun intended!) He's a feisty old cuss. Even his groom once called him "a mean old man in a horse suit"

    Most of my clients are west-coast based so I'm not sure how "famous" horses are. I have no perspective for knowing what horse if known or not known by the general public. As for champions, Derby- and Breeders Cup winners, I have painted Tiznow, Adoration, Fusaichi Pegasus, too many to name. One of my all time favorites was a tiny, 850-lb. mare name Megahertz, aka The Mighty Mite. She'd blow past her opponents in the stretch, her tiny little legs in a blur. Here's what she looks like with a 100-lb. jockey on her back. I shot this photo a few years back, and my portrait of her.
