Running and Ipods

...i hear if you run with an ipod it can really mess it up, no matter which one your using (nano, shuffle, whichever).

I never heard that the shuffle shouldn't be run with. It's a whole hard drive vs. flash memory thing. Hard drives aren't meant to be jostled (like when running), but flash memory isn't supposed to have a problem. So the shuffle and nano (and any other digital music player using flash memory) should be fine when running.
