I set a goal of wanting to do a 50 mile trip ...now I know that is not much for some of you but....I DID IT. I am so happy. I am on vacation so I got up early and rode. I did 50.2 miles in 3 hours 13 min, my avg was 15.6 mph. Had to share

Way to go! You rock for sticking to your goal - and on vacation no less (all the more reason we should take more vacations, right?).

Keep up the good work and keep us posted on your progress.

That's great!! I'll never forget the first time I rode 50 miles- it was on a mountain bike at Ididaride. 50 miles is a huge milestone!!

50 miles at 15 mph average is **not** a slacker's goal! That means an awful lot of that time you were going faster than that.

Most of the folks in our bike club would be glad to be able to do that - but would be wiser to shoot for 13 mph. My first 4 metrics were at averages between 11 and 13 mph.
