SubieGal rocks! I wanted to be a rally driver after reading her adventures!
Jamie is a very nice person in Real Life(tm) too though most rallyists are. My husband and I have raced against many of the in Rim of the World rally, Treeline, etc. When we're not racing we sometimes will also help with communication at the rallies (we're both ham radio operators)

NASIOC can be very testosterone driven. So can i-Club, though both my husband and I are member of i-Club and go to the Krispy Kreme Subie meet in Union City from time to time. It's near Gruppe-S which sponsors our race car.

These days I'm not codriving (Mike Warfield of Gruppe-S is now), but I still get involved. It's a very fun sport and if any of you are interested in rallying, check out http://www.specialstage.com/

If any of you are interested in seeing the race car, you can see a couple of pictures here:

In the picture on the left (titled "Neilflying") I'm in the car with my husband Neil. In the picture on the far right, Mike is in the car with Neil. Both pictures were taken at Rim of the World though in different years.
