As I was waiting for the Ferry for the trip from Manly to Circular Quay (Sydney), I saw the oddest thing.
2 people with backpacks running into the wharf, followed by a camera man, asking how/where to catch the ferry. I saw a flash of a yellow card/envelope in their bumbags. They soon ran to catch the jetcat.
Not long after two more people with backpacks ran into the wharf, followed by a camera man, asking the same question. They soon embarked on the ferry.As my ferry pulled out of the wharf, I saw 2 more backpack wearing people running towards the wharf.
While waiting at the gangway as the ferry approched the city, I had a conservation with a camera man. He had an american accent. He said it is was his first time in Sydney, but he won't be able to see much of it as he would be on the run. I made a comment on how you couldn't pick a better day to see Sydney(with the good weather). I happened to have my bike with me, and he asked where I was riding & said he rides at home when he can.
He was a bit coy of why/where he was following two travellers around Sydney with a tv camera. But it sounds very much like "The Amazing Race" or something very similar.

It made dragging myself out of bed & on to the bike, more than worth it.
