Riding the Door: Routes in Wisconsin's Door County

What are your favorite routes in "the Door?"

We recently did two rides back-to-back there on a mini-break, both about 34 miles, with a lunch stop.

These are along Bayshore from Sturgeon Bay to Egg Harbor, nice quiet road with generous margin and courteous drivers. Never put a foot down on the way up except for rest breaks, cross traffic all had stop signs and was minimal.



The next day was round trip on the Ahnapee State Trail from Sturgeon Bay to Algoma. Nice restaurant in Algoma for lunch, Cafe Tlazo.




It seemed on a drive around the peninsula that there were wide, quiet roads and a mix of level and hilly routes.
