I found thisquote in the most recent issue of Bicycle times and in spite of the fact that the writer is talking about the Alley Cat Rondo in St. Petersburg, Fl , it so perfectly describes what riding is like in Houston from May through September that I want to pass it on.

"The weirdest thing about riding through the heat is that at some point I ca't even tell if I am still sweating. I squirt half my water bottle on my head and shoulders and the water is so warm I ca't even feel it against my skin. My sunglasses are so blurred with sweat that they are rendered useless and it's o good trying to wipe them on my jersey. There is a constant headwind seemingly every direction I turn. My mind wanders through fantasis of food. All I can thing about is something SUGARY......and SWEET................ and COLD!"

We are having a blessed few days of temps under the 80's with lower humidity. But the temps ad humidity will be back too soon.
