I recently learned of six women cyclists who are riding the Tour de France route one day ahead of the racers. Yes, the entire route, stage by challenging stage. They are not professional racers, come from California, Colorado, Oregon and Puerto Rico, and are called Team Reve. A part of their goal, besides finishing, is to raise awareness and participation in women's cycling. Heidi Swift, one of the riders and a writer for Peloton magazine is documenting their adventure at her blog Swift Dispatch. It's a good read and great story.
