I imagine my impression of the Barnett highway would have been different, more positive, if it hadn't been in the mid 90s the first time I encountered it. I've had flashbacks about that steady climb with the heat and light reflecting off pavement with absolutely no cover on return trips since then. and of course, swooping in from the other direction would definitely have been perceived as a pleasant event...
