It was amusing to see how Tebow's "praying," etc. played here in New England.
Not so well. I'll never understand why sports figures feel the need to attribute their victories to G-d and shove their brand of religion down our throats. I am not anti-religion, but I just don't think it should be part of sports.

I kind of thought that might be the case as I caught the end of the game last night. Normally with the score so high the winning team takes starters out, runs the ball ...

it looked like they were trying for 10 - 80 New England.

I am not anti-religion either in fact, I'm on the way to my congregation in a bit but I feel IMHO that if there is a G*d she has other things on her mind. World peace, global warming, disasters, hunger, poverty ... a lot on her plate, busy busy busy. Football? G*d's not watching it.

One sees players praying after a game. I can understand that "Thanks. I can still feel my feet" but to credit G*d for a win?

C'mon, it's a game!

I will now take a knee and be thankful "I was not hit by anyone doing the half-time run for more beer"
