Treats for diabetics?
I need to get Christmas gifts for two of my cousins. For the past couple of years I got them liquor (champagne or Bailey's). This year I saw some nice storage jars with snowflakes on them, so I figured I would fill them with candy or cookies or something. They both have spouses and kids and do lots of entertaining, and they could use the jars every year.
I bought the jars today and then went to Trader Joe's to look for interesting treats.
And then I remembered that one cousin's husband was recently either diagnosed with diabetes or was told he's pre-diabetic. At Thanksgiving, he was eating sugar-free cookies that someone got at a bakery.
Does anyone know of some good diabetic candies or other treats that I could get to put in the jar? Preferably something that would appeal to other family members, too? I want to give something inclusive.
I guess I could go with something like pretzels or nuts, but that's not as much fun.
Thanks!!
