High glycemic crash after pub food night

Yesterday went to pub after work with some colleagues for pre-Christmas. I had 3 little bun sliders with various fillings (pulled pork, bacon, etc.), thin yam fries, 3 2 inch wide appetizer pieces of pizza, 1 baked pretzel, some vegetable crudites and cheese slices.

Plus a large pineapple juice drink. Yea, I ate maybe too much? But I didn't feel completely full afterwards.

Afterwards I felt awful. even after walking home only 2 km...I was actually physically drained/tired and had a sugar crash, ready to fall asleep at 8:30 pm. Too early.

The food I ate wasn't totally unhealthy but just too high glycemic for my body. My body can no longer handle alot of bread, too rich cheeses, etc.

But I'm certain enough people can eat what I ate, and feel fine for the rest of the evening. Along with a beer or 2.

Note: I didn't have any dessert with sugar at this meal. On that same day I had a small biscotti at 7:30 am , about 10 hrs. earlier and was fine.
