This past week I had to visit Baltimore and DC - and was lucky enough to coordinate with Kmehrzad and Cataboo to ride together. First of all - thank you thank you thank you to Kathy and Catriona for helping me with loaner bikes, and most of all for the company on those fun rides - I had so much fun it's hard to describe!
Day one was a ride around Fredericksburg and neighboring towns, going over some of the pretty covered bridges - we had a blast rolling around those gorgeous landscapes, and the Tx Doc learned the hard waythat the black shift lever in Shimano sends the derailleur the opposite way compared to Campy...
Here is our fearless leader reading the cue sheet...
Both of the fearless leaders...
Kathy...
Catriona...
A needed food break next to another covered bridge...
On day two, Kathy and I rode the W&OD trail in the morning and had a lot of fun!
These are cell phone photos so they look kind of funny
Kathy enjoying the 'banana' rest stop...
and myself after gobbling down a banana...
A nice passage on the trail...
The quarry...
Day three did not come with many photos, as Catriona and I were having a lot of fun like kids riding in the rain and mud on the Gwynn Falls trail
The bikes also had a lot of fun, it seems...
And the clothing...
Thanks so much guys for tons of fun on the road - we have to do this again soon so please come visit Texas!!!![]()
