Is your Polar ANT+? If yes, you could get a computer that reads ANT+ so it would work with your Polar... or, if you need a new strap - buy a computer that comes with a HRM strap - not just Cateye and Sigma, you can look into CycleOps, Garmin... just be careful about those that have 'coded' straps, as they only work with their own. I think CycleOps used to code theirs - so that people would have to buy their straps instead of using those from Timex or Polar... smart business people...
