snow in Jacksonville, NC

The roads weren't bad at all, they were only wet, yet people who don't see snow are afraid of them. Now tomorrow morning will be another story as I am sure they will ice up over night. There is very little equipment here to deal with snow or ice. I've seen one salt truck and I would be surprised if there city had a snow plow.
I enjoyed the snow today, but my idea is if it has to be this cold at least let me have a small bit of snow. I just don't like the cold and don't like the snow on the ground for 5 months a year.
We lived in J ville for three years. One year we had about 8" of snow for Christmas eve. Onslow county shut down for 4 days. At that point they only had one country snow plough plus a couple of hum vees with tractor blades lashed on. It took them that long just to clear the roads enough for people to get to the grocery store. Perhpas some on the people in the grocery stores remember that. Even in Boston we used to see the clear the shops of bread, chips, soda and milk. Around here the same phenomenon occurs every time they think a hurricane might come withing a few hundred miles.
