Prelude:fireworks, Arnold Schwartznegger

Talk about being swung between 2 different emotions for these flippin' Olympics:

First abit a negative:
Just today, it was announced that Arnold Schwartznegger, Gov. of California is one of the torchbearers. I’m having problems with an American (who never lived in Canada) carrying the torch in final end city of the torch relay. Sigh. So many other deserving Vancouverites to carry the torch… VANOC bent the rules for Arnold..

I wouldn’t have a problem if was a Canadian that ended up moving to the U.S. to live--..like some actors/actresses. But geez…not Arnold.

Second:
It's night-time and pre-Olympic fireworks just exploded twice NOW as a background behind the Stadium for opening and closing ceremonies. Sky lit up pink, white, etc. No...this is a surprise. Though this afternoon huge lineups for dress rehearsal participants.

It's pretty wierd, feeling disgust and excitement within 2 minutes of each other about all this.
