    My relatives all live in Canada.
    Lots of snow is not a requirement, but being more snowbound in a small community gives people other things to do together when it's too cold /too windy or they don't participate alot in outdoor winter snowy sports.

    For some reason, I have this stereotyped idea of curling is like golf a few decades ago...social oriented but under-rated as a sport.

    No, haven't seen Men with Brooms but the male star, Paul Gross is a hottie.
    'Yo, NWBY would not be surprised if Edmonton had a local tournament there. I know enough Edmontonian migrants who talked about the winters there. My partner worked north of Edmonton and saw northern lights.
