I've decided to give in to safety over vanity and use a white flasher during the day.

I have some white flashers, but really I don't think they are near bright enough to be of any use in daylight and I did not want to regularly haul around my Minewt / battery pack. I was down at the local shop today arranging to have some wheels built and bought some more lights too. (I got a Planet Bike Super Flash well - but I think this needs no review, being pretty well known as the brightest rear red blinker other than the Dinotte).

My impressions so far - I like that its rechargeable with its own internal battery - so nothing to ever be opened. It's tiny and very light with a versatile velcro band to for attaching it to handlebars. I've yet to use it, so I'll see how secure that velcro is. It is as bright as my Minewt, though its area is a bit smaller. The charger is tiny and uses USB.
