That's really scarry BikeMama. Do you carru Halt? Don't know if it would have worked on those wild critters, but we've had good luck with it on those domestic kind of doggies. Be careful out there. Good thing you listened to your instincts!

Yea, I'm thinking about it a little more seriously now. I think being chased pretty good earlier in the ride helped my cautiousness. With the first chase, I didn't have time to grab anything, however. The farmhouse they sprang from was too close to the road. I didn't even have time to grab my usual defense, my water bottle. Still had my lungs, though!
