We used to keep our two mountain bikes in the entry way to our tiny apartment. You couldn't open the front door the whole way, nor get into the coat closet w/o moving the bikes. Now we have three bikes but are getting ready to move so two of the bikes are, with our landlord's permission, out in the hallway/stairway area leading to the roof. That leaves just one to hang out behind the front door

In my new place I'll have half a basement for my bikes and won't have to carry them down from the 3rd floor every time I want to go for a spin - I think that's one of the most exciting parts of the move!
