cycling statistics
so I'm home sick, bored outta my skull, there's only dr. phil on tv so what else to do except play with my bike statistics...
As of Friday last week I'd biked 8116 km this year. Very pleased about that, that's a new record. It's funny, this is my first full year owning a road bike, but only 28 % of those km are on the road bike. I'd thought I'd use it more, especially since my rides on the road bike tend to be longer. But I've ridden it only a little more than my mtb with studs (20%). Most rides were on my mtb w/o studs (51%). I've split them up this way because riding with and without studs makes a whole different ride.
Quarterly:
- first quarter: 71 % studs, 24 % mtb, 5 % road
- second quarter: 1 % studs, 41 % mtb, 57 % road. Training and a few races.
- third quarter: no studs, 81 % mtb, 19 % road
- fourth quarter so far: 19 % studs, 75 % mtb, 6 % road.
Now isn't that fascinating
ok, guess I could've posted this in Way on-going etc instead.
Next project: try out some skinnier studded tires, I think they cut through the snow better.
Oh, and get my workplace to buy a work stand to have in the garage.
I've made a list of all the tools I want for Christmas.
I'm booooooooooored.
Winter riding is much less about badassery and much more about bundle-uppery. - malkin
