    CompuTrainer Classes

I have searched and read the threads that match about "CompuTrainers" here, but just looking for some more discussion...

One of our lbs/sports stores is starting a CompuTrainer class now that colder weather is here. As far as I'm aware, it's the only one I've ever seen in the area. I own a CycleOps Fluid2 Trainer, and knew of the computerized trainers, but not of an entire organized class.

I'm not sure why I even let myself buy the CycleOps trainer because I never use it. Things at home just seem to distract me enough that riding the trainer never happens. To get my workout, I need to physically leave the house.

Before re-finding the joy of my bike, I was always a group exercise person. The CompuTrainer class initially I thought looks like fun. I do Spinning Classes regularly at my gym, and love that. One of the #1 things I love about Spinning is that, as they say, "it's my ride". I'm still riding along with the group, but modify to suit my needs.

After reading more about the CompuTrainer classes, it sounds like it's a pretty big competition for the elite hammerheads. Part of me really wants to go for the group interaction of other cyclists (the gym's spin class has very few outdoor riders), but I don't think I would fit in with the class.

    Thoughts? Thx!
