Training Question
Lately, I have been riding 20 miles every day with a rest day one day a week. I had planned on riding every day this week too, but the weather service is predicting lots of rain and stormy weather for Monday and Tuesday. That leaves me tomorrow (Sunday) and Wed., Thurs., Fri. and Saturday before my first scheduled 50k ride next Sunday. The weather is supposed to be perfect from Tuesday through next weekend. My question is this: should I shoot for riding 20 miles Wed. thru Friday with Saturday as my rest day? My DH is worried that I am doing too much, but I know some of you ride lots of miles each week on a routine basis - any thoughts or suggestions are most welcome! I am excited about doing my first longer sponsored ride!
