I had my first goathead flat of the season todayI hate those freaking things! I called our County's "noxious weed" program and they said they've given up on the goatheads. They are worse this year than I've ever seen. Anyway, this was the first time I've changed a flat out on the road all by myself. I've fixed flats before but I've either been close enough to home to walk and then I've fixed it in the comfort of my garage, or I've had someone with me to help. One of my tire levers snapped in two, but other than that, it was a cinch!
24.6 hilly miles today and I was tired. I rode 42 very hilly miles yesterday and my quads were screaming at me today.
