I did the Marin Century (easy route) (self supported, as my registration did not go through and I do not "poach", but had already promised to ride w/ my SIL who was registered) - also hottish with nasty headwinds, and then - get this - I was forced to drink great quantities of beer after. Oh the horror!!!
